Overnight Production Technician

Location:

St. Louis, MO 63102

Pay: $24.20/hour

Schedule:

Sunday – Tuesday, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Shift: 12-hour overnight shifts

Weekend Work:
Sunday is part of the regular schedule

About the Job:
  • We are looking for dependable Manufacturing Technicians to join a busy manufacturing team in St. Louis.
  • You will operate and monitor production equipment to help produce quality products. You will also help with equipment changeovers, cleaning, basic troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and other tasks needed to keep production running safely and efficiently.
  • You will work closely with other team members, follow established procedures, complete production records, and help maintain quality and safety standards throughout the facility.
What You’ll Do:
  • Operate and monitor a variety of production machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and report problems when needed.
  • Operate work savers and stand-up or sit-down lifts as required.
  • Operate manlifts as needed.
  • Perform production line changeovers.
  • Clean, disassemble, reassemble, and lubricate line equipment during changeovers.
  • Help keep production lines running according to established standards.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to the scheduled maintenance program.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and established cleaning programs.
  • Follow quality and manufacturing procedures.
  • Complete batch records and other production documentation.
  • Enter information and track production results and performance measures.
  • Work with team members to improve production and equipment performance.
  • Assist with equipment improvements, automation projects, and other process improvement activities.
  • Help train other technicians when needed.
  • Assist with updating and reviewing standard operating procedures.
  • Report safety concerns, hazards, equipment problems, and other issues to supervisors.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, quality, and production requirements.
  • Wear required safety equipment and PPE.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work with your team to meet daily production goals.
  • Help with other manufacturing tasks when needed.
What You’ll Need:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1–5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating production equipment is helpful.
  • Ability to learn how to safely operate machinery and material handling equipment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety rules.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Good attendance and a dependable work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to changing assignments.
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work during your shift.
  • Ability to frequently lift 5–25 pounds.
  • Ability to occasionally lift drums, bags, and cases weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts.
  • Ability to work Sunday through Tuesday as scheduled.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical degree or certification.
  • Previous experience with equipment troubleshooting or preventive maintenance.
  • Experience using computer applications in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with production documentation or batch records.
  • Experience with standard operating procedures and quality requirements.
  • Interest in learning new equipment, processes, and technology.
Important Requirement:
  • This job may require you to wear an air respirator for safety. If a respirator is required, you must be clean-shaven where the respirator touches your face so it can seal properly.
