Wise Staffing Group is seeking experienced Welders and Fabricators for opportunities throughout the St. Louis area. We are looking for candidates with a strong background in welding, fabrication, metalworking, and/or structural work.

Whether your experience is in MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux Core, structural welding, production welding, pipe welding, or fabrication, we want to talk to you!

Responsibilities:

• MIG / GMAW welding
• TIG / GTAW welding
• Stick / SMAW welding
• Flux Core / FCAW welding
• Structural steel welding
• Pipe welding and fitting
• Production and manufacturing welding
• Stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum welding
• Fit-up, tack welding, and fabrication
• Cutting, grinding, drilling, and metal preparation
• Oxy-fuel and plasma cutting
• Use of torches and other metalworking equipment
• Welding in various positions, including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and specifications
• Using tape measures, squares, calipers, and other measuring tools
• Inspecting welds for quality, strength, penetration, and accuracy
• Identifying and correcting weld defects
• Setting up and adjusting welding machines and equipment
• Following proper welding procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous welding, fabrication, or metalworking experience
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment
• Ability to read measurements and work from specifications
• Blueprint reading experience is highly preferred
• Fabrication and fit-up experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Reliable attendance and dependable work history
• Ability to safely work in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or industrial environments
• Welding certifications are a plus but are not required for every position
