Job Summary
The CNC Operator reports to the Production Supervisor and operates CNC mills and lathes in a high-volume production environment. This role produces plastic components, wood, and laminated products while maintaining accurate setups, consistent quality, and safe, efficient workflow.
Responsibilities
- Set up CNC mills and lathes for production runs.
- Perform CNC programming and adjust machine parameters as needed.
- Load materials and operate equipment during high-volume production.
- Perform tool changes and monitor tool condition.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Inspect finished products using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools.
- Perform quality control checks and dimensional measurements.
- Complete routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot operating issues.
- Follow safety procedures and production requirements.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in CNC machining.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with CNC machine operation and setup.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Knowledge of precision measurement and quality control.
- Proficiency using calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to troubleshoot CNC machining issues.
- Strong attention to detail.
