Location: St. Louis

Story Stitchers empowers youth and strengthens community through storytelling and creative expression. We are seeking a hands-on, people centered Development Coordinator to support our fundraising, donor relations, campaigns, storytelling, and community engagement efforts. This role ensures that every gift is acknowledged, every donor feels valued, and every story of impact is captured.

Key Responsibilities:

Donor Care + Data Stewardship: Process gifts, maintain CRM records, prepare personalized acknowledgments, generate reports, reconcile with the Administrative Assistant, and support grant reporting.

Campaign + Event Support: Manage registrations, track expenses, assist with logistics, and ensure strong follow-up for donors and partners.

Storytelling, Writing, + Research: Support newsletters, blogs, email campaigns, success stories, case studies, and grant narratives.

Digital + Community Presence: Assist with social media content, online presence, and engagement strategies using digital tools and CRM data.

Project + Program Support: Maintain calendars and workflows to coordinate staff follow-ups and track deadlines.

  • Campaigns and events run smoothly with strong follow-through.
  • Stories of youth impact are captured and shared.
  • Systems steadily improve to support sustainable fundraising.
Qualifications:
  • 1–3 years in nonprofit support, data management, development, or communications.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
    CRM/database experience preferred.
  • Clear, warm written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Independent, collaborative, and mission focused.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; additional education is a plus.
  • Willingness to support occasional evening/weekend events.
