Dover Hospice, a regional healthcare provider, seeks a service‑minded, career‑oriented individual to join our team as a Certified Nurse's Aide at our St. Louis location.
Responsibilities- Working in collaboration with the supervising RN, to fulfill the defined patient‑specific Hospice CNA Plan of Care.
- Collaborating with the care team as an extension of nursing services to ensure all patient needs are fully addressed.
- Delivering hands‑on personal care and supportive services to assist with safe activities of daily living, in accordance with the established Hospice CNA Plan of Care, and in compliance with the applicable laws, regulations and agency policies.
- Documenting care provided according to agency policy.
- Using Durable Medical Equipment safely.
- Participating in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
- Participating in professional development and lifelong learning activities.
- Performing other responsibilities as assigned.
- Current Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification.
- Preferred hospice or home‑care experience.
- Current and valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and current liability auto insurance.
- Must be able to meet all physical demands of the job which includes, but is not limited to seeing, speaking, touching, walking, standing, bending, reaching overhead, crouching/kneeling or crawling, as well as the ability to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs independently and up to 200lbs with assistance.
- Ability to work well with others and take direction from management, as well as take initiative – willing to go above and beyond to ensure patients’ needs are met and they are comfortable in their living environment.
