American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU night shift position requiring MO or compact license, 2 years ICU experience, and ACLS/BLS/NIH certifications.
Responsibilities- Position is in the ICU at an acute care hospital
- Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30) are required
- Patient ratio is 1:2
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
- Must work 6 weekend shifts within each 6-week period
- Frequent cardiac outpatient monitoring, bedside trachs and PEGs performed
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips needed
- Uses EPIC EMR, prior EPIC experience preferred
- Navy scrubs required
- Responsibilities include frequent cardiac monitoring and management of trach and PEG patients
- Assignment length is 13 weeks with potential for extension
- No on-call duties required
- Orientation and training modules to be completed prior to start
- Free onsite parking is provided
- Travelers can remain for up to 18 months, then must take a 3‑month break
- Active MO RN or compact license required; pending license considered
- Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Experience with hemodynamics and titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips required
- Prior EPIC charting experience preferred
- First‑time travelers are not accepted
- Must reside outside a 75‑mile radius from the facility
- Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed per 13‑week contract; no RTO permitted during orientation
- Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
