Role Purpose
Provides skilled assistance to anesthesiology providers and leads anesthesia support team.
Responsibilities
- Prepares IV, central lines, and sets up transducers. Assists with rapid infusion of blood products, processes blood specimens, and completes EKG tests.
- Sets up, primes, and calibrates various equipment. Completes and documents quality checks on various equipment.
- Assists with special procedures to include, but not limited to, line-placement, fiber optic intubation, hemodilutions, echocardiograms, EEGs and regional anesthesia.
- Assists in providing leadership to the department of anesthesia by providing direction for assignments and job duties for co-workers, completing audits as assigned, and ensuring clinical area is ready at all times for safe patient care.
