Spring 2026 Graduate Nurse

POD 2
- Acute Critical Care Surgery/Trauma, Ortho Trauma (OTS), Plastics, Upper Extremity, Reconstructive Joint Surgery, Ortho Oncology

• Orientation 4/10 hour shifts
  • 6-9 months of orientation
  • 630-1900
• After orientation move to 3/12 hr shifts Monday-Friday
  • Shift will be determined by unit needs (days, nights or midshift) after orientation
  • Self-scheduling
• 1 yearly holiday
  • (2 shifts on 1 holiday, could be in-house and call shift or 2 call shifts – dependent on department need)
• Call is required.
  • Number of shifts depends on department staffing. Current expectation is 4-6 shifts in a 6-week schedule period with 2 of the shifts being a Saturday and/or Sunday

Role Purpose

The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care after completing a nursing program and before licensure. Will be required to obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation from an accredited school of nursing to remain employed in a HSO in the state of Missouri.
