LPN GIG – Flex/Per Diem/PRN – Mercy Southeast (Cape Girardeau) & Surrounding Communities

Shift: Various shifts available (4, 8, or 12 hour shifts; Sun–Sat)

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – GIG nursing program. Provide patient care under supervision of a registered professional nurse (RN) or licensed supervisor. Coordinate patient care, maintain patient rights, and ensure confidentiality.

• $30/hour + variable shift incentives

• Minimum 12 hours every 90 days
• Maximum 30 hours per week (Sunday‑Saturday)

Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care, monitor vitals, administer medications, assist with daily living activities, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; or comparable education and experience.
• Current LPN license in the hiring state.
• One year recent bedside LPN experience in Med‑Surg; two years for ED, ICU, etc.
• BLS (Med‑Surg). BLS, ACLS for Critical Care. BLS, ACLS, & PALS for ED.
• IV certification required.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Physical: able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing/walking, reach, bend, kneel, twist, squat.
