Overview

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park.

The Pain Management Center at Barnes Jewish West County provides patients experiencing chronic pain with the best experience possible in all aspects of care including office visits, procedures and pharmaceutical management. When visiting the pain management center, patients are seen by RN's specializing in pain management for all of their educational needs, additional support is available between appointments by telephone triage RN's.

Use of an electronic medical record allows staff to have a comprehensive understanding of each patient, patients to have access to their medical records from home, and prescriptions and other communication to be sent instantaneously to other members of the healthcare team.
