Education & Loan Assistance- $10,000 Scholar Loan Program (LPN to RN)
- Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Neurology
- Location: Mercy Hospital South – 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128
- Schedule: Full‑time, 36 hours per week
- Shift: Night Shift – 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Sign‑On Bonus: Up to $2,000 for part‑time and full‑time caregivers
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a State‑licensed prescriber or a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for the care of assigned patients, coordinates care with other departments, and upholds patient rights and confidentiality. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.
Qualifications Education- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license in Missouri meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Comparable education, experience, and successful licensure may be considered
- New graduates and experienced LPNs welcome
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire)
- LPN‑IV Certification completed prior to hire or within 3 months (up to 1 year based on unit requirements)
- Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
- Significant bending, stooping, and patient lifting/turning with assistance
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
