Job Description
TITLE
Registered Nurse - Neuro/Ortho

SCHEDULE

- Shift: Nights
- Weekend requirement: 2 shifts every other weekend (nights may be Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun depending on rotation)

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed

Hours:

36 hrs/week (3x12s)

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2+ years of experience preferred

- Required:

BCLS (BLS) and NIHSS certifications
- ACLS may be required by compliance hard document deadline
- Key clinical competencies: telemetry monitoring, remote telemetry, PICC line management, IV starts/maintenance, PCA, stroke care, joint replacement post-op care, isolation/PPE

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct patient care in the Neuro/Ortho unit
- Monitor patient status through telemetry
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans and procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Orientation: 38 hours
- RTO:
No RTO first week; max 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
- Free parking available
- COVID-19 vaccine not required;
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
