Travel RN – Med Surg / Telemetry Short Stay (Nights)

Saint Louis, MO

Contract | Travel | Nights – 3x12 (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 hours weekly guaranteed | 13-week assignment

• Perform direct patient care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for adult patients on a Med Surg/Telemetry unit
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Manage a patient population that is approximately 50% Medical and 50% Telemetry, with typical ratios of 4–6 patients per nurse
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management
• Float to other units as needed per unit and facility guidelines
• Work within the scope of nursing practice consistent with applicable state nursing practice standards and established clinical guidelines

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Flu vaccination required (November 1 – April
  1); exemptions must be client approved
• Ability to work every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) as standard expectation
• Availability to work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day)

• Experience with EPIC EMR system
• Strong team-player mentality with a focus on positive patient outcomes and superior communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, mixed Med Surg and Telemetry environment
