As a primary inpatient provider, youll practice at the top of your license with strong physician collaboration, clinical autonomy, and exposure to advanced cardiovascular cases.
Position Details:
- 3x12s | Rotating day/night shifts (option for straight nights or rotation)
- Lead inpatient perioperative management of cardiac surgery patients
- Perform assessments, develop treatment plans and manage acute care needs
- Coordinate care with surgeons, fellows and interdisciplinary teams
- Manage orders and interpret labs, imaging and cardiac monitoring
- Document H&P's, progress notes and discharges
- Educate patients and support safe transitions of care

Role Purpose
The nurse practitioner functions within their scope of practice as a healthcare provider, working within a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to patients and families across practice settings. They demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses commonly encountered within the inpatient setting. The role demonstrates advanced clinical knowledge, interdisciplinary collaboration, professionalism, and systems-based practice.
They work with staff, nurses, physicians, and medical/surgical trainees to assure safe, effective, quality patient care. The position requires coverage of evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays. Minimum Board Certification(s):

Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
