Nurse Practitioner​/Physician Assistant; Fellow - Urologic Surgery

Hours:

40 per week.

Advanced Practice Provider - Fellow. A paid, year‑long fellowship that provides the opportunity for an individual to continue their education in a practical setting within the BJC Healthcare system.

• Experience a wide variety of clinical settings including outpatient, inpatient, and peri‑operative practice.
• Participate in weekly continuing education sessions.
• Assist with a research project.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

  Typically sitting at desk or table, occasionally standing or walking.
• Repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement.
• Equipment:
  Office equipment, clinical/diagnostic equipment.

• Master’s degree (e.g., Master of Science in Nursing).

• Certified Nurse Practitioner – Illinois Dept. of Financial and Professional Regulation;
  Certified Nurse Practitioner – Missouri Division of Professional Registration.
• Nurse Practitioner (NP) within 3 months – Missouri Division of Professional Registration.
• Physician Assistant – Illinois Dept. of Financial and Professional Regulation;
  Physician Assistant – Missouri Division of Professional Registration.
• Registered Nurse – Illinois Dept. of Financial and Professional Regulation;
  Registered Nurse – Missouri Division of Professional Registration.

• M.S.N. – Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis in the Nurse Practitioner program.
• APN licensure or ability to obtain licensure within three months.
• Basic Life Support certification (hands‑on required).
• For Physician Assistant Fellows:
  Graduate of PA program;
  Current PA licensure in Missouri or Illinois or ability to obtain within three months.
• Basic Life Support certification (hands‑on required).
• Additional certifications may be necessary based on specialty.
