** Be the steady hand on the unit. As a Nurse Supervisor, you coordinate care, mentor the team, and keep the milieu calm, safe, and moving forward—no matter what the shift brings — providing a calm, vigilant presence while others rest.
** How You Will Make a Difference
*** Serve as on‐shift clinical leader: assign staff, prioritize admissions/discharges, and
* coordinate with intake and ED transfers.
* Support RNs/LPNs with assessments, med administration, restraint/seclusion per policy,
* and timely documentation.
* Lead real‐time de‐escalation and code responses; ensure post‐event debriefs and learning.
* Validate rounds, safety checks, and environment‐of‐care standards; escalate
* facilities/security needs.
* Precept new hires and students; champion competencies and policy adherence.
* Ensure continuity of care overnight with vigilant observation and timely documentation.
* Manage after‐hours admissions and urgent needs; prepare a thorough handoff to the dayteam.
** What We’re Looking For
*** Active RN license; BSN preferred.
* 2+ years inpatient psych or emergency psych experience; prior charge experience a plus.
* Calm communicator with strong critical‐thinking skills.
* Must be 21 or older
