Overview
Position: RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator – Electrophysiology, Washington University Cardiovascular Division, Section of Electrophysiology. Supports operations across three clinic locations:
Center for Advanced Medicine, Center for Advanced Medicine – South County, and West County nursing team provides collaborative support to new team members and works with a multidisciplinary team in a specialized patient population.
Schedule:
Weekday, daytime position with potential hybrid work opportunities. No weekends and no holidays.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation; conducts health histories and physical examinations and conveys findings to physicians.
- Coordinates patient care, orders diagnostic tests, attends inpatient rounds, coordinates patient appointments, and assists with referrals to outside sources.
- Assists physicians and provides support with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.
- Performs nursing administrative duties, including compliance with environmental safety regulations, infection control standards and quality assurance.
- Acts as liaison and team leader by facilitating communication and coordination of care between patients, families and health team members; explains routines and procedures to patients and communicates patient care information to appropriate sources.

Education & Qualifications- Required Qualifications: A diploma, certification or degree is not required.
- Certifications / Professional Licenses:
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association, BLS – American Red Cross, Registered Nurse – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Registered Nurse – Missouri Division of Professional Registration. More than one credential may be required depending on role. - Work Experience:
Nursing experience (2 years). - Driver's License: A driver’s license is not required for this position.
- Qualifications (More About This Job):
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with two years of nursing experience;
Current RN licensure in Missouri and/or Illinois (depending on location) per the Compact Act;
Basic Life Support certification or obtainable within one month of employment. Online BLS without a skills assessment is not sufficient.
- B.S.N. or other nursing degrees
- Clinical experience, clinical research coordination/management, electronic health records (EHR) experience including Epic
- Grade: S26
- Salary Range: $60,800.00 – $ / annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range are determined by qualifications, performance, equity, market rates, and department budget.
