Location: St. Louis

The University of Missouri’s Sinclair School of Nursing invites applications for a professional Clinical Educator and Nursing Consultant position. Primary responsibilities include providing education and technical assistance to long‑term care (LTC) facility nursing staff in quality improvement practices, the latest clinical evidence‑based practices in nursing and health care, and evidence‑based organizational improvement practices via extensive travel, phone, email, webinars, or virtual meetings.

The role includes public speaking and/or conducting presentations in large and small group settings. The position utilizes and maintains expertise in gerontological nursing, care for older adults, or other relevant areas based on need. The Clinical Educator and Nursing Consultant will serve nursing homes and LTC facilities primarily in the St.Louis/Eastern region of Missouri. Therefore, travel is required throughout St.Louis

and the eastern region of the state, with occasional travel to other locations. Residing within the service area is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with Missouri LTC facility management in implementing teams for decision‑making and quality improvement.
  • Work effectively with all levels of Missouri LTC staff to support the development of high‑performing teams.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work.
  • Apply working knowledge in the following areas to provide effective consultation.
Minimum

Required Qualifications
  • 2–3 years of nursing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired, in long‑term care (LTC).
  • BSN is required; MSN preferred, from an accredited college or university.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri.
  • Experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
Additional

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to enter text via computer technology for timely data entry.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate via Zoom or other virtual platforms.
