Position Summary Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to provide direct resident care under the supervision of the charge nurse, assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health status, and ensuring safety and comfort.
Responsibilities include responding to call lights, conducting routine rounds, supporting mobility and meals, and reporting changes in condition. The role also maintains a clean environment, follows care plans and facility procedures, and promotes residents' dignity and well-being.
Knowledge and Experience Requirements Must have completed the State of Missouri Certified Nurse Assistant training program and be in good standing in the State of Missouri. Must have current CPR Certification or be willing to become CPR certified.
Skills and Competencies Required Proper use of PPE and hand hygiene Oxygen safety and use Record and observe vital signs Infection control Must have good interpersonal communications skills. Must be genuinely interested in working with the Senior Adults. Must be able to maintain confidentiality, loyalty, integrity, and dignity and be tactful and patient. Must possess personal qualities that demonstrate the ability to care for others, i.e., sensitivity, patience, honesty, cheerfulness, willingness, reliability, positive attitude, and observation skills.
Must have initiative and use good judgement in recognizing symptoms indicative of a resident's change in condition. Must be neat and clean in personal appearance and grooming.
