Join Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital — St. Louis. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position. Salary: $2,000 sign‑on bonus for new hires. Part‑time & full‑time roles with 12‑hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the RN with admission and discharge processes.
- Perform patient assessments and communicate changes promptly.
- Conduct patient handoffs using safety tools (e.g., SBAR, bedside report).
- Collaborate with the RN to evaluate patient progress and document interventions.
- Reinforce patient and family education and document learning needs.
- Delegate tasks to UAPs and ensure care is provided within their competencies.
- Complete required competencies, certifications, and participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a preceptor for LPN students or new hires when needed.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support patient care and departmental goals.
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Current LPN license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- LPN‑IV certification upon hire or within required timeframe.
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit (ACLS, PALS, PEARS, etc.).
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and squatting.
New graduates and experienced LPNs welcome.
