Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Neurology 8E

Mercy Hospital South – St. Louis, Missouri

Location: Mercy Hospital South, 10010 Kennerly Rd., St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full‑Time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Sign‑On Bonus: Up to $2,000 for part‑time and full‑time caregivers

Neurology 8E cares for patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions such as strokes, seizures, brain tumors, and brain bleeds. Team members support complex neuro assessments, safety‑focused care, and close interdisciplinary collaboration with therapy and neurology teams.

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed practitioner or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability, coordinates patient care with other departments, maintains patient rights and confidentiality, and performs duties in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and Service Standards.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• Must hold and maintain a current LPN license in Missouri and meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
• Comparable education experience and successful licensure may be considered

• New graduates and experienced LPNs welcome

• BLS through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire)
• LPN‑IV Certification completed prior to hire or within 3 months (up to 1 year based on unit requirements)

• Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
• Significant bending, stooping, and patient lifting/turning with assistance
• Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
