Position: Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position at a large academic Level I Trauma Center, requiring both scrub and circulate experience in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases.

Job Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) of a large short-term acute care academic hospital with 1,266 staffed beds,

• Primary case types include cardiac and thoracic surgery, with additional cases in vascular (open and endovascular), transplant (liver, kidney, pancreas), and pancreatic (Whipple) procedures,

• Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, with rotating start times as needed (core hours approximately 6:15 AM-4:45 PM),

• On-call is required as needed, with approximately 3-4 weekday and 1-2 weekend call shifts per 6-week scheduling period (subject to change based on unit needs),

• Holiday coverage required, discussed in advance,

• Floating within the CVOR service line is required to meet facility needs,

• Block scheduling is not available,

• Charting is performed in Epic,

Job Requirements

• Active MO RN license (or Compact RN license) required; must be valid at time of consideration - pending IL license may be accepted with notation,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required; candidates with 1 year of experience may be considered if that experience was gained at a Level I Trauma Facility,

• Scrub and circulate experience in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases required,

• BSN preferred,

• Epic EMR experience required,

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible,

Additional Information

• First-time travelers may be considered only if they have more than 2 years of experience at a Level I Trauma Facility,

• Local candidates are not accepted; home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility,

• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation,

• Travelers may remain at this health system for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required,

• Former permanent employees of this health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler,

• Navy scrubs are required,

• This is a Level I Trauma, academic teaching facility
