• Deliver intraoperative patient care as the first assistant to the surgeon(s) as part of a collaborative team.
• Perform a focused nursing assessment pre-operatively with reference to the planned procedure.
• Analyze assessment data to determine nursing diagnosis and communicate desired patient outcomes throughout the perioperative continuum.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency of the peri-operative department by considering safety, effectiveness, efficiency, environment, and cost factors in planning, delivering, and evaluating patient care.
• Monitor patients' responses and modify the plan of care accordingly; administer medications in accordance with standard nursing practice.
• Develop, manage, and coordinate a perioperative plan of care related to RNFA interventions; evaluate patient progress toward outcomes and the quality of nursing practice.
• Participate in professional development, lifelong learning, and evaluation of practice in the context of current standards, rules, and regulations.
• Integrate knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, including education and advocacy for perioperative health safety.
• Provide ethical leadership in the profession and professional practice setting.

• Education
  :
  Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  
  Experience:
  
  2-5 years.
• Licensure:
  Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• No prior supervisor experience required.

• Education
  :
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Certified First Assistant (CF1A) and/or Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) license.
