LPN - Weekend; Non-Exempt

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed provider or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients, coordinates care with other departments, upholds patient rights and confidentiality, and performs all duties consistently with Mercy's mission, values, and Service Standards.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Med Surg

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $2,000 for part‑time and full‑time caregivers

Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Licensure:

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• Must hold and maintain a current LPN license in Missouri and meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
• Comparable education, experience, and successful licensure may be considered

Experience:

• New graduates and experienced LPNs welcome

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire)
• LPN‑IV Certification completed prior to hire or within 3 months (up to 1 year based on unit requirements)

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
• Significant bending, stooping, and patient lifting/turning with assistance
• Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.
