BJC Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Assistant Manager, Virtual Care for a nursing job in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Role purpose

Coordinates patient care, personnel management, maintenance of equipment, equipment purchased, and statistical accumulation.

Responsibilities
  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and has direct responsibility for adhering to those goals.
  • Provides and oversees patient care according to planned interventions with regard to their age and developmental needs to attain the patient's optimal level of wellness and documents according to policy.
  • Creates and ensures implementation of a collaborative plan of care based on assessment, diagnosis and medical treatment.
  • Supports the review of staff hours worked vs scheduled hours and determines appropriate disposition if variation exists.
  • Performs and approves daily payroll updates, reconciles time cards, bonus tracking and coding approval.
  • Prepares, coordinates and executes all staff communications; prepares huddle agendas and leads meetings.
  • Determines staffing needs; makes nursing assignments and assigns overtime.
  • Recommends effective annual increases.
  • Interviews staff for open positions; evaluates and conducts performance reviews; drafts and issues corrective actions/coaching; follows up on disciplinary action to ensure compliance.
  • Responsible for staff productivity and overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and makes recommendations on areas of improvement if needed.
  • Maintains constant state of alertness and works in a safe manner; deemed a safety‑sensitive position.
Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Experience: 2–5 years of RN experience
