Position OverviewRegistered Nurse – Operating Room (Full-Time Days). No weekends or holidays. Sign‑on bonus of $10,000 for experienced OR RNs.
Works in conjunction with the Clinical Supervisor for that service. Performs the primary function of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients. Coordinates patient care with other departments. Organizes and implements services in the assigned specialty area. Coordinates workflow in a timely and efficient manner, including room set‑up and turnover, and supplies and equipment needed prior to case start.
Functions as part of the staff as needed, including relief for breaks and lunches. Assists in departmental operational support tasks and duties. Assists in orientation of new coworkers and permanent team members in conjunction with the Supervisor and the OR Nurse Clinician.
Mercy St. Louis Center for Performance Medicine Surgery – outpatient surgery with 10 operating rooms, 2 minor procedure rooms and 1 cystoscopy suite. Specialties include orthopedics, urology, plastics, neuro and general surgery. The center also has its own pre/post area, PACU, 23‑hour stay area, SPD and supply chain.
Caregivers at CPM have the luxury of no weekends, no holidays and no call.
Qualifications- 1 year of RN Operating Room experience
- Nursing degree from an accredited school (BSN preferred)
- Current RN license in the state
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
