Job Overview

TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Duration: 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts.

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Job : #1394676.

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication; report any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patients.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.

Stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; up to 50 pounds k in a fast-paced environment treating patients that may be confused, agitated or uncooperative.

• BLS certification; 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
