Job Summary

Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Nights (Saint Louis, MO). The organization is seeking an RN for Labor & Delivery to provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and immediate postpartum patients in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity hospital setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to work independently, and experience managing both routine and high‑risk obstetric patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

    Nights, 7:00 pm–7:30 am; 3 (or
    4) × 12 shifts; minimum 36 hours per week; rotating weekend requirements
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
    • Emergency Fetal Monitoring (EFM) training
    • Electronic fetal monitoring (Int AWHONN FHM preferred) (as applicable to the required certification set)
    • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery/Labor & Birth experience in an acute care hospital setting
    • Demonstrated ability to independently manage laboring patients, including high‑risk obstetric cases
    • Strong skills in fetal monitoring and interpretation, labor support and coaching, medication administration and IV therapy, and obstetric emergencies/rapid response
    • Experience working in a team‑based high‑acuity environment
    • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and time management skills
    • Ability to adapt quickly to new workflows, policies, and electronic medical records
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Two years of current inpatient, acute care hospital experience
  • Float:
    Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information:
    Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; exemptions must be client approved.
