Clinical Trial Budget Development Specialist
The primary focus of this position is the development and negotiation of clinical trial budgets for all research protocols that are our responsibility.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities:
- Gain thorough knowledge of assigned computer input/study protocol tasks.
- Enter profile information skillfully, efficiently, & accurately.
- Outline visit schedules, identify protocol procedures, and obtain pricing for procedures from an appropriate source.
- Create budgets using a study management system (or similar software) for study protocols. Responsible and accountable for those budgets.
- Responsible for updating the procedure costs in study management system, per item, as necessary to keep the system up-to-date.
- Responsible for applying costs to a study visit procedure by estimating coordinator time.
- Work closely with the hospital and other WashU departments to obtain technical and professional fees to include in procedure pricing; flow of the funds through the university; and inclusion of overhead variances per department.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location. Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
PreferredQualification:
- An ability to interact with confidence, diplomacy, courtesy and compassion in a professional manner.
- Knowledge of clinical research protocols, medical terms, time management, and the conduct of research from a coordinator perspective is paramount in this position.

Salary Range:$56,200.00 - $96,100.00 / Annually The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
