Worker Type: Regular
Schedule: 7pm – 7am, rotating weekends and holidays

Job Summary The Registered Nurse is a professional practitioner who assesses, manages, directs, and provides nursing care activities during the patient's hospital stay and coordinates planning with other disciplines utilizing a patient/custommer driven approach.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive assessment/reassessment, including admission, transfer, post‑op, and discharge needs, and document findings (including education and family input).Establish, coordinate, and evaluate a plan of care based on assessment data, diagnoses, lab results, orders, protocols, and evidence‑based practice.Provide and document nursing interventions, collaborate with the health team, administer medications and IV therapy, complete referrals, request consults, educate patient/family, clarify orders, assist physicians, and perform safe hand‑off communication.Document and communicate changes in patient condition, assess the effectiveness of care, modify plans, and report significant changes or adverse events.Provide specialized care to patients at high risk for injury, including restraint care, pain management, and abuse assessment, following protocols.Demonstrate accountability for professional practice, adhere to quality standards, participate in learning experiences, maintain communication with policies, and stay current with units and hospital guidelines.Adapt to changes in workload, assist colleagues, and maintain a collaborative team approach.Follow safety and infection control policies, practice standard precautions, and maintain a clean environment.Provide service excellence to patients and families by meeting needs, delivering respectful care, and maintaining confidentiality.Incorporate performance improvement and evidence‑based practice into daily work, participate in unit goals, data collection, and improvement initiatives.Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri.
- Minimum education:
RN license; additional certifications (BLS, CPR, etc.) as required by state. - Experience in inpatient acute care, preferably with surgical or medical patients.
- Strong communication, critical‑thinking, and teamwork skills.
Job Specifications
- Working Conditions: Exposure to blood borne pathogens, unpredictable emergencies, irregular hours, and potential for physical injury.
- Physical Requirements: Prolonged standing/walking, occasional lifting, pushing, and transfers; reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling.
