Join Mercy’s compassionate team and play a meaningful role in a baby’s very first steps toward healthy development. As a Newborn Hearing Technician, you’ll support families during a special moment in their lives while ensuring each infant receives high‑quality, accurate hearing screening.
Position Details:
What You’ll Do
- Conduct newborn hearing screening evaluations using established protocols
- Gather essential case history and patient information
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with families and healthcare professionals
- Deliver excellent customer service with empathy, patience, and professionalism
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other care team members
- Uphold Mercy’s mission, values, and standards in every interaction
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent college credit
- Experience: Prior patient care experience preferred
- Able to communicate effectively with patients’ families and healthcare professionals
- Comfortable interacting with the public and committed to providing exceptional customer service
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (healthcare-related fields preferred)
- Experience: Previous hearing testing experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
