Description:
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and service standards. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice. Meets unit specific physical demands. Involves significant bending, stooping, and assisting with lifting and turning patients. May be required to work varying schedules, shifts, and days based on patient care requirements.
Exposes to high-risk situations involving blood and body fluids. Physical tasks may include pushing, pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs, and pinch up to 15 lbs. Position serves adult patients post-surgery, dealing with various conditions. Promotes a positive team culture. Follows dress code requirements. Maintains flexibility in guaranteed hours and scheduling requests. Participates in ensuring a safe and effective environment for patient care.
