Must-Have:
Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule minimum, plus holiday rotation obligation required. Special requirements include lift devices (training provided), ceiling lifts, and bladder scanner. Ability to float to all medical units, including renal, oncology, and neuro.
Description:
The RN will float across various nursing units. The nurse will assist in providing care to medical, surgical, oncology, and neuro patients. Patient ratios are 1:5-6 for days and weekends and 1:6 for nights. The nurse will support interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and pharmacy services. Charting will be done using an electronic system. The environment involves a daily census of 28 to 50 patients depending on the specific unit.
Nurses will be required to manage care for adults and geriatric patients. Skills required include IV management, dysrhythmia interpretation, wound care, and telemetry monitoring. Nurses are expected to follow isolation precautions and manage respiratory therapies as necessary. This role involves an obligation to float within service lines as needed.
