Position / Specialty:
Pre/Post, PACU, Phase I/II - Recovery Room Pre/Post, PACU

Duties include preparing patients before surgery, placing an IV, doing assessment, administering medication, recovering patients in phase I and phase II and discharge education. Surgery specialties are mostly ENT and ophthalmology. Shifts are 5 days per week, 6:30a-15:00p. Will provide navy surgical scrubs. Patient ratio is 1:2 in Phase 1 and 1:3 in Phase 2

Years of experience REQ: 5 First-timers accepted: 1 year experience in PACU for experienced travelers. We will take first time travelers with 2 years of PACU experience & EPIC experience.

Certs REQ: BLS, ACLS, PALS

Requirements:
Previous pre/post experience required. Will require BLS, ACLS and PALS. This position is for the BJWC Surgery Center (450 N. New Ballas Road, Suite 130, St. Louis MO 63141). Required skills are IV starts, nursing assessment and good customer service. Must have experience in the pre and post-anesthesia care of patients. No call, no weekends, no holidays required.
