Under the direction of an RN or LPN, the PCA assists with individualized patient care to help patients achieve their highest level of wellness. This role is an essential member of the care team, performing both clinical procedures and non‑clinical support tasks in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Training Program- 175‑hour, Department of Health and Senior Services–approved training program completed during new hire orientation (must be finished within 90 days)
- Accredited Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program offering valuable hands‑on experience and credentials
- BLS certification within one month of hire
- PCA competencies completed within three months
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- CNA or CPTC
- Enrolled in a healthcare career program (including high school programs)
None required.
Preferred Certification- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, twist, grip, and squat
