As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at Curana Health, you’ll help shape the future of geriatric behavioral health care. You’ll work alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team to deliver personalized psychiatric services and ensure continuity of care across the post‑acute and long‑term care continuum. Your expertise will empower residents, support families, and improve outcomes for an underserved population.

• Conduct patient rounds and manage psychiatric care within SNF, LTC, AL, and IL settings.
• Partner with attending physicians, consulting specialists, referral sources, and facility staff to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.
• Assess and manage the mental health needs of residents, perform physical exams, and gather complete medical histories.
• Order and interpret lab and diagnostic tests, make preliminary diagnoses, and develop effective therapeutic care plans for mental and physical health.
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments; provide injections as necessary.
• Educate patients and families on medications, care plans, and preventive mental health practices.
• Work alongside physicians and facility teams to address acute psychiatric and medical needs promptly and effectively.

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
• Active DEA license.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
• Travel to and from one or more assigned facilities; valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and acceptable driving record may be required with notice and periodic MVR checks.
