Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring a valid MO or compact RN license and at least 2 years of CVOR experience.

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license required; IL candidates may apply with a pending IL license
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR scrub/RN experience required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

• Work in a 2-room CVOR at a 285-bed short-term acute care hospital
• Cardiothoracic surgical procedures performed include CABGs, AVR, MVR, Thoracoscopy, Thoracotomy, Robotic Thoracoscopy, TAVR, Impellas, and Pericardial Windows
• Average case volume of 3 cases per OR
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call required 1–2 nights per week and every 3rd–4th weekend
• Floating within scope to other surgical services is preferred when there are no CVOR cases scheduled
• Epic EMR used; experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrubs are provided by the facility; no parking cost
• No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees of BJC facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may remain at BJC facilities for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
