RN GIG - Flex - Per Diem - PRN - Lincoln and Communities

Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

• $40/hour + Variable Shift Incentive

• Minimum 12 hours every 90 days
• Maximum 30 hours a week (Sun-Sat)
• 4, 8, or 12 hour shifts available

Flexible, incentivized Registered Nurse position. Ability to pick up day or night shift as preferred. No weekend, holiday, or shift requirement. Participation requires responsibility for scheduling a minimum number of hours, availability on short notice, and flexibility with last‑minute shift cancellations. The Gig Nursing Program does not guarantee shift hours and will cancel first in case of conflict.

• Required Education
  :
  Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
• Preferred Education
  : BSN
• Licensure
  :
  Current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure, with all state board of nursing requirements met
• Experience
  :
  One year of recent bed‑side RN experience in Med‑Surg; for specialties such as ED or ICU a minimum of two years of recent specialty‑specific bed‑side RN experience

• Certifications
  :
  • Med‑Surg, Behavioral Health and Women’s Health (L&D, NICU, M&B): BLS
  • Critical Care (CC): BLS, ACLS
  • Emergency Department (ED): BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Physical Requirements
  :
  • Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly
  • Prolonged standing and walking each shift
  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as required
