The Advanced Cardiac Care Unit (ACCU) is a 48‑bed, fast‑paced cardiac care unit that provides a challenging and supportive environment for skilled nurses.
About the RoleOrientation:
Must attend a 2‑week orientation session (Mon‑Fri 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.).
Work hours:
36 hours per week with a 6:45 a.m.–7:15 p.m. shift pattern. Holiday rotation and every third weekend required.
Provides direct patient care to support licensed professional nurses by ensuring a safe environment, collecting vital data, and communicating changes to the nursing team.
Responsibilities- Implement direct patient care under nursing supervision, promoting patient‑ and family‑centered care.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, vital signs, intake & output, fall and pressure ulcer prevention, urinary catheter care, phlebotomy, and point‑of‑care testing as requested.
- Collect clinical data and report changes in patient status to the nurse.
- Assist nurse with patient and family education, document all patient care activities accurately, and act as a 1:1 patient safety sitter as necessary.
- Ensure availability of supplies and equipment to meet each patient’s needs.
- Participate in patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance activities and professional development.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
No experience required. Entry‑level position.
Licenses & CertificationsCertified Nurse Assistant preferred.
