Additional Information About the Role

Full‑time night shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM).

Eligible for a $7,500 sign‑on bonus.

Schedule & requirements: night shift 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM; every third weekend rotation;
Level III or higher NICU experience required.

Missouri Baptist Medical Center is an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offering a full continuum of medical and surgical services including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management. The hospital has a 24‑hour adult emergency department and a separate pediatric emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital. It is the first and only hospital in St.

Louis County named a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. In 2023 it was ranked #2 in the St. Louis metro area by U.S. News & World Report. The NICU, a Level IIIA unit, accommodates up to 25 neonates and is staffed by neonatologists from Washington University and St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the standards of nursing care.

• Promote patient‑ and family‑centered care in a healing environment.
• Educate patients and families on illness or injury management, post‑treatment home care needs, and medication administration.
• Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Engage in professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient or family.
• Proactively plan and ensure communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
• Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
• Assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs.
• Work in a constant state of alertness and maintain safety as a safety‑sensitive position.

• Education:
  
  Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• Experience:
  
  No prior experience required.
