Registered Nurse - Catheterization Laboratory Charge Nurse

MO-SSM Health DePaul Hospital – St.Louis – Regular Worker

Provides leadership and coordination of unit staffing while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care.

Day shift: 0700–1730, Monday–Friday (4–10 hour shifts). Call schedule: 7–9 shifts per schedule period, includes weekend call rotation.

• Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shift
• Contribute to or perform performance evaluations of staff
• Assess daily patient care needs and develop/distribute patient care assignments ensuring appropriate care
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes
• Evaluate effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting desired outcomes
• Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels
• Provide input for hiring, training, directing, developing, and evaluating staff
• Maintain constant alertness and work safely
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent education for licensing
• One year of registered nurse experience

• Constant use of speech and oral communication
• Constant standing and walking; frequent lifting/carrying (0–25lbs) and pushing/pulling objects
• Frequent sitting, reaching, keyboard use/data entry; frequent use of vision, depth perception, color distinction, smell, hearing
• Occasional lifting (25–50lbs), moving patients, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, repetitive movements
• Occasional driving; rare crawling and running

• Registered Nurse (RN) – Illinois (IDFPR) plus BLS HCP, ALS or PALS
• Registered Nurse (RN) – Missouri (or Compact State) plus BLS HCP and ALS or PALS
• Registered Nurse (RN) – Oklahoma (OBN or Compact State) plus BLS HCP and ALS or PALS
• Registered Nurse (RN) – Wisconsin (or Compact State) plus BLS HCP and ALS or PALS
