Location: St. Louis

Assistant Nurse Manager

Shift 4-10s (M-F). Hours 7:00A-5:00P (will need to flex at times). BSN required. Charge or supervisor experience preferred. 40-45 cases, 40 bays. Mostly outpatient surgeries. Pre/post/PACU or critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Manages personnel including hiring, training, assignment of work, evaluation of performance, and professional development plans to meet departmental goals.
  • Participates in staffing, revenue, and expense budget development and maintains adherence to those goals.
  • Provides and oversees patient care planned interventions according to age and developmental needs, documenting as per policy.
  • Creates and implements collaborative care plans based on assessment, diagnosis, and medical treatment.
  • Reviews staff hours versus scheduled hours, approves daily payroll updates, reconciles time cards, and coordinates staff communications and meetings.
  • Determines staffing needs, assigns overtime, recommends annual increases, and conducts performance reviews and coaching or corrective actions.
  • Ensures staff productivity aligns with operational goals and performs staff performance evaluations.
  • Maintains a constant state of alertness and safe environment as required for this safety‑sensitive position.
Minimum Requirements
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Experience:

    2–5 years in a similar role.
  • Licensure:
    Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Supervisor

    Experience:

    None required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5–10 years of experience.
  • Charge or supervisor experience.
