Acute Care Nurse

Role Overview

Provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment needs, and medication administration.

Participates in activities to ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in ongoing professional development. Develops and documents individualized care plans, communicating effectively across care teams and considering patient preferences, values, and cultural needs.

Requires a nursing diploma or associate degree, RN licensure, and no prior experience. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and less than two years of experience. The role is safety-sensitive, demanding alertness and safe work practices.
