Job Description
Fusion Medical Staffing‑Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med‑Surg for a 13‑week assignment in Saint Louis, Missouri. The position requires 36 hours per week with 12‑hour night shifts as a travel Med‑Surg RN. Competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team.
Responsibilities- Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments and maintain nursing standards
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, document changes, and report concerns to the care team
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, assist physicians, and monitor responses
- Maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients recovering from medical or surgical conditions
- Document comprehensive patient information, including vital signs, medications, and outcomes, in the medical record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans
- Prioritize care based on acuity, manage multiple patients efficiently
- Ensure infection control practices, including hand hygiene and PPE use, are strictly followed
- Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences, ensuring respectful integration into the care plan
- Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate with patients, families, and external resources
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
- One year of recent Med‑Surg RN experience
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- NIHSS certification
- ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Other certifications and licenses may be required

- Physical: ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend
