American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 7 East Medical Admit Unit, working night shifts (4x12) with a minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience required.

• Work setting is a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit (7 East Medical Admit Unit)
• Patient population is adult only, with approximately 50% medical and 50% telemetry cases
• Patient ratio is 4–6:1
• EMR is Epic
• Schedule is nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, four 12-hour shifts per week
• 13-week contract with potential extension up to 26 weeks
• Every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required unless otherwise approved
• Floating required as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit
• No on-call requirements

• Active RN license — must be eligible for or currently hold a Missouri RN license (MO or Compact)
• Current BLS and ACLS from AHA only
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months

• Responsibilities include direct patient care for adult patients, encompassing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
• Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes
• Night shift orientation is conducted on day shift; candidate must be available the full orientation week
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) per 13-week period is allowed, but any time off must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates are expected to work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day)
• Flu vaccination or a Mercy-approved exemption is required from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
• Black scrubs required
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but are subject to a reduced bill rate
• Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts; after that, a 1-year separation or relocation outside the 50-mile radius is required before returning
