Role Overview

Provides direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs. Participates in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and compliance, while engaging in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care continuum.

Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs, considering patient preferences and barriers to involvement. Maintains awareness of safety protocols as this is a safety-sensitive role.
