Clinical Nurse PACU

Role Overview

The registered nurse provides direct patient care in a busy PACU setting, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care within established standards. They promote patient and family-centered care, educate on post-treatment management, and participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities. The role involves developing individualized care plans, collaborating with an interprofessional team, and communicating effectively across the care continuum. Critical nursing skills are essential for evaluating physical, psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs, ensuring personalized and safe patient care.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred, with RN license.
• Critical care or procedural experience preferred; no experience required for entry.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safety awareness.

• Assist pre-op staff during night shifts and participate in patient care activities.
• Develop and document care plans, ensuring effective communication across teams.
• Educate patients and families about illness management, post-care needs, and medication.
• Contribute to a healing environment, emphasizing safety, quality, and compliance.
