Clinical Nurse - Pediatric Emergency Department

Role Overview

Provides direct pediatric nursing care in a trauma-designated Emergency Department treating nearly 50,000 children annually. The position involves 12-hour night shifts, weekend rotations, and holiday coverage.

• Conducts patient assessments, develops and implements individualized care plans, and evaluates patient needs.
• Educates families on managing illnesses, promotes safety and quality compliance, and collaborates with the healthcare team.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
• Maintains safety-sensitive standards, ensuring alertness and safety at all times.

• Requires RN licensure with a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• No prior experience required, but pediatric acute care or ED experience is a plus.

• Strong assessment, communication, and collaborative skills.
