Neuro Step Down RN

Provides direct patient care in a neurological unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation according to nursing standards.

• Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participates in activities ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team, patients, and families, and effectively communicates across care settings.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and emotional factors.
• Works in a safety-sensitive capacity, maintaining alertness and safe practices at all times.

• Educational requirements include a Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Licensure as an RN required; no prior experience necessary, but less than 2 years preferred if holding a Bachelor's degree.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
