Role Overview

The Graduate Nurse will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, 28-bed Minimally Invasive PCU/IMU, specializing in postoperative and intermediate care patients, including those recovering from bariatric, hernia, mastectomy, and minimally invasive surgeries. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient responses. The role emphasizes patient and family education, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, with opportunities for professional growth and mentorship in surgical and progressive care nursing.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Completion of a nursing program and ability to obtain licensure within 90 days
  • Educational requirements:

    Nursing Diploma/Associate's;
    Bachelor's preferred
  • No prior experience required
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment
Key Duties
  • Assess and monitor post-operative and intermediate care patients
  • Educate patients and families on care management and medication
  • Develop, implement, and modify individualized care plans
  • Participate in safety initiatives and professional development activities
